Today’s pose: Camel Pose (Ustrasana)
Here are my make-up poses for the time my photographer was recovering!
#14: Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
#15: Boat Pose (Paripurna Navasana
#16: Bow Pose (Dhanurasana)
Lines could have been better for #14, but I think the other two were good.
Hey y’all, #yogaaday posts are being suspended for awhile because my photographer is getting his wisdom teeth out and will be out of commission for a number of days. I’ll try to just make one big photo post with all the poses I missed.
Aaaaaaand today’s pose: What I *think* is some kind of Virasana.
I blurred out my face because the pose is perfect but I am making some weird lazy-eyed camera no-face face.
Monday’s pose: Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana)
Behind on posts again, so here’s Sunday’s pose: Wide-legged forward bend (Prasarita Padottanasana)
Today’s pose: Half-Moon Pose (Ardha Chandrasana)
I have a lot of trouble with this pose— mostly with maintaining my balance. It’s a bit odd, since I don’t have much trouble with other balancing poses when all that’s on the ground is one foot, or I’m balancing on my hands. This one, though… it’s all I can do to stay reasonably upright, much less perfect my form. Ah well, it’s good to have goals.
Speaking of goals, I can now do a complete forward fold! It doesn’t look quite as impressive in the photo as it feels to me, but… that was something I really wanted to be able to do! My chest is flat against my thighs and everything. So… w00t!
Today’s pose: Warrior III (Virabhadrasana III)
Today’s pose: Chair pose (Utkatasana).
This is pretty crappy-looking. I had to take the photo a bunch of times and I wasn’t happy with any of them. I just have so much flexibility in my back that it’s really hard for me not to arch (as you see here) and just sit back properly. Oh well. My ponytail looks good!
And… umm… it won’t post the photo the way it’s supposed to be oriented. I don’t know why.
Aaaaaand today’s pose: Extended Side Angle Pose (Utthita Parsvakonasana).
And a fine-looking one, at that.
Tuesday’s pose: Downward-Facing Dog (Adha Mukho Svanasana)
Catching up on my #yogaaday, as promised!
Monday’s pose: Four-Limbed Staff Pose (Chaturanga Dandasana)
I have been slacking on my #yogaaday posts! I went to my parents’ after work on Monday and then last night of course was the election, so tonight you shall have three poses AT ONCE!
I need to learn to warm up more before taking these.
Today’s pose: High Lunge. There’s no real agreed-upon Sanskrit name for this, as far as I know, but some call it the Horse Rider’s Pose (Ashva Sanchalanasana).
My photo-taker wanted to know if this pose was called “Shiva Waves at Books.”
But it’s not.
Today’s #yogaaday is a seated twist called Marichyasana III (Marichi’s pose). At least, that’s what it looked like to me— the pictures on the guide are pretty small so sometimes it’s hard to tell exactly.
